Spring Hair Bows

I have one niece, and she is the first baby in my family. As you can probably guess she gets spoiled. Every time I see her I want to buy her new clothes or toys. I can't help it, she's just so cute! For Easter I thought I would make her a few things to fill up an Easter basket. Today I'm going to show you how to make these adorable hair bows. They are super easy and look adorable.

What you need:
Ribbon
Hair Clips
Stick-on Velcro
Gluegun

Step One:
Cut the Velcro to size and attach the softer side to the inside of the hair clip.  This will help the clip to stay in your toddler's hair. Babies' and toddlers' hair can be very thin and clips tend to slip out. The soft side of the Velcro provides a little more grip.

Step Two
Cut the ribbon twice the length of the clip. Fold the ribbon in half to find the centre. Place a dab of glue on the centre and fold over one side of the ribbon. Place another dab of glue on the centre and fold over the other side.

Step Three
Repeat step two as many times as desired with different lengths of ribbon.

Step Four
Glue the different ribbons together and add embellishments if desired. For some of the bows I used half pearls and for others I just tied a ribbon around the centre.

Step Five
Glue the ribbon onto the hair clip.

There you have a wonderful hair bow for your little one. Experiment with different thicknesses of ribbon and different lengths. There are endless possibilities.  I can't wait to see how these bows look in my niece's hair.

Happy Crafting,
Kristin
